Knytt Stories is a 2D platformer game made by a guy known as Nifflas. The standard level is about a young girl named Juni who must to turn off a machine that was built to infest the world with evil creatures. There is an alternate ending to that level too. The game itself even comes with a level editor, where you can create your own stories! It's really cool, and you can get it right at the link below.
